POSITION:

Assistant Baker


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under limited direction from head baker and from kitchen supervisor, mix ingredients to make and bake fruit pies, cookie dough, crusts, toppings, icing, doughnut batter and other prepared goods. Completes any special orders as required.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Closely follow daily lists.

Responsible for cleaning bakery equipment by closely following daily and weekly cleaning lists.

Responsible for organizing products in preparation for baker.

Baking products in the bakery for resale in store.


KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

General knowledge of mixing and making baked goods is preferred.

Must be able to function under limited supervision.

Able to communicate verbally, and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Bakery kitchen at 20758 528th Ave., Lake Crystal, MN 56055. Welsh Heritage Farms Bakery


ASSIGNMENT/APPROVAL OF WORK:

Receives direction and approval from head baker and kitchen supervisors.


RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:

Directly impacts the day-to-day operation of the Welsh Heritage Farms Baker

POSITION:

Store Sales/Cashier


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Interacting with customers and having an interest in apples. Help in the sale of apples, donuts, pies, crisp and gift items.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning about apples in order to be able to better help answer customer questions about apples.

Interacting with and helping customers.

Working at the cash register.

Taking phone calls the come in.

Sampling apples to customers as needed.


KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Understanding and operating a computer/cash register.

Able to make change on cash sales and operate a credit card machine.

Being able to lift up to 20 lbs.  

Able to communicate verbally, and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.


ASSIGNMENT/APPROVAL OF WORK:

Receives direction and approval from Sales Manager and sales store supervisors.


RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:

Directly impacts the day-to-day operation of the Welsh Heritage Farms Store Manager.

POSITION:

Orchard and Packing House Worker


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Working in our orchard and packing house to make apples available for out bakery, sales floor and cider operation.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning about apples in order to be able to better pick, pack and package apples.

Picking, packing, packaging and peeling apples.

Interacting with customers on a limited basis.



KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Being able to lift up to 50 lbs.  

Able to communicate verbally, and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Comfortable working on ladders.


ASSIGNMENT/APPROVAL OF WORK:

Receives direction and approval from Orchard/Packing House Manager and packing house supervisors.


RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:

Directly impacts the day-to-day operation of the Welsh Heritage Farms apple orchard and packing house.
